Brumfield Among Grambling President Finalists

A committee set up to find the next president of Grambling State University has narrowed the list to five.

Candidates will sit for public interviews Tuesday and Wednesday on Grambling's campus. The University of Louisiana System Board is expected to announce a decision Thursday.

The five candidates are W. Wayne Brumfield, former vice president for student affairs at the University of Louisiana at Monroe; Thomas J. Calhoun Jr., vice president for enrollment management at the University of North Alabama; Glenda F. Carter, executive vice president and provost and professor of education at Wiley College; Willie D. Larkin, chief of staff at the office of the president at Morgan State University; and Gilbert L. Rochon, president's council of the University of New Orleans and former president of Tuskegee University.
